The 1156 single-filament bulb is one of the most common bulbs used on cars. They're usually used as a reverse light and also as a brake/tail/turn signal light bulb when those use a single-filament bulb. So why buy them from us when you can pretty much pick them up when you're getting groceries? Simple - our's are better. Too many manufacturers make this bulb in China at the lowest price-point possible. What you end up with is a bulb that doesn't fit right (thanks to that big glob of solder on the housing) and doesn't last long (thanks to non-existant quality-control). And to top it off, most of them are charging a fortune for these things! This is why we only carry German-made light bulbs that we get direct from the manufacturer. German automotive light bulbs are far superior to all other manufacturers. They don't have that annoying glob of solder on the housing and they're made to last! Does that mean they'll never burn out? No - it'll happen eventually. But these bulbs normally last lots longer than other bulbs on the market and continue to burn bright throughout their lives! These 12v - 21w single filament with the BAY15S offset bayonet base are exactly what your vintage car (or many new car) needs! We are offering these in a 2-pack in this auction but we also have them available as a box of 10 if you want to stock up!

Applications :

Used as reverse lights on most VWs but also used as the tail light and turn signal on later models when they're using single filament bulbs. If you're unsure of your application please contact us!

While we list these as for VWs, they will fit most classic cars that are 12v or have been converted to 12v! If you are currently running 1156 bulbs, then these bulbs will work on your car!

Please note - these are 12-volt bulbs - do not order these if your VW or classic car is still 6-volts . Using 12v bulbs in a 6v system will not work properly (if at all)!
